The title of champion of France is not yet officially acquired, but Luis Campos and the Parisian leaders are already drawing the outlines of the workforce version 2023-2024. While the season which is ending has logically been considered disappointing by the staff, significant changes will take place this summer, in particular with the departures of Lionel Messi and other executives pushed towards the exit (Neymar, Verratti).
The midfield will also be one of the priorities during the off-season, a sector that has rarely given satisfaction in recent years. The midfielder has often been one of the club’s weak points in recent Champions League campaigns. To remedy this, Luis Campos activated and would even be about to complete a first arrival.
Manuel Ugarte will land for 60 million euros
According to information obtained by Recordconfirmed by RMC, PSG have reached an agreement with Sporting Portugal for the transfer of Manuel Ugarte, 22-year-old Uruguayan midfielder. The reigning French champion has agreed to pay the player’s release clause which amounts to 60 million euros. Announced very close to Liverpool a few days ago, Ugarte finally gave his preference to Paris.
The Uruguayan has agreed with the club owned by Qatar and the formalization should take place, at the latest, in the coming days. The midfielder has played 41 games for Sporting this season (including 38 as a starter), but has not been decisive. On the other hand, he made his toughness speak with 15 yellow cards received. We had the opportunity to see the 22-year-old in his works twice against Olympique de Marseille in the Champions League this season.
